Urgency

Fragments from my "art-pad" (if I may call it so):

Voyager. Watercolor paint, Pen crosshatching, Acrylic paint (to touch up) over a pen doodle.

Voyager: artwork on the making. I still remember the circumstances. My ailing mother was alive then. After she and everyone else went to sleep, a creative urge kept me awake. Then I got up in the middle of the night, gathered my painting paraphernalia and started working on it.

Girl-Posture: Pencil sketch on low grade paper.

That afternoon, I felt this overpowering impulse to start drawing again after several months of artistic Limbo. And started scribbling on rolls of napkin-paper (remnants of the funeral feast, or, Shraddha).

A sphinx for my friend Benu.

Terrified: pen-sketch.

Hah! My sketch pad is now under a thick layer of dust! Mercy, God of creation! Send me a ray of inspiration. The 20,000 rupees worth of art books in my library aren't helping me anymore.
